Spring (March to May): Cherry Blossom

Spring is synonymous with cherry blossoms in Japan. From late March to early April, the entire country turns pink as sakura trees bloom.

Join locals in hanami (flower viewing) picnics under the cherry blossoms, and don’t miss night-time illuminations that make the blossoms glow beautifully.
